12 Statewide Events Celebrate Obama Action to Unite Families, Strengthen Economy

Administrative Action Creates Path for Millions to Move from the Shadows

California – Community members who have fought for comprehensive immigration reform will join affected families, local elected officials, and legal experts for a news conference following today’s announcement that President Obama will take administrative action to move comprehensive immigration reform forward.

Workers who are members of the Service Employees International Union will unveil a new resource, iAmerica, that will protect immigrant families from fraud and misinformation in the wake of the order. The website – available in English and Spanish with more languages to be added shortly — will provide accurate information on what the order means, and will be updated as information is available on applications for relief and trusted legal resources.

English: Text “AMERICA” to 64336 to get the latest updates and news on administrative action from iAmerica.
