AB 1496 - Update - Swanson - Local Government Temporary WorkersOur tactic of getting the State Auditor to validate the misuse and abuse of temporary workers by cities and counties has succeeded. The Joint Legislative Audit Committee approved the expenditure of over $200,000 to audit the situation in 6 counties, three selected by SEIU and three by the Auditor. Evidence obtained by the Auditor may be helpful in convincing the majority of the Senate Local Government Committee to release the bill.
